Bio
Mogis
A Tale of cathartic release
Mogis was born from the mind of its founder and visionary Forrest Pollock. After the blight of the pandemic he was inspired to write. He crafted more than an albums worth of songs alone in his apartment with nothing but his laptop. For those early demos he played guitars, bass, synth, vocals and programmed drums.
The songs Forrest wrote for the album are a mix of his influences. Blending genres and soundscapes from Pink Floyd inspired synth to alternative rock, death, sludge and doom metal. However, Forrest is only one part of a whole. He recruited bandmates Dave Ford on bass, Anthony Vaticalos on guitars and Spencer Thompson on drums. He also invited guest drummers Navene Koperweis and Jordan McGee for a few songs on their debut album.
Mogis' album was produced and mixed by Forrest Pollock. Mastered by Pete Lyman.
